Client Director Branding & Packaging

For an international design company based in central Amsterdam we are looking for a full time Client Director who can start as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

You ensure that clients are impressed with your imagination, your understanding of their requirements and the strategic response to their brief, and are reassured by efficiency, professionalism and service quality, resulting in the highest levels of client satisfaction and ultimately the growth of the business.

Your job covers a wide array of responsibilities, including pro-active client development through maximising the development opportunities within existing clients and creating as wide a network of contacts as possible to keep the company top of mind.

Another responsibility is Brand/Project Direction, for example providing strategic and creative brand expertise and working with the project teams, questioning and challenging constantly throughout all stages of the process to ensure we meet or exceed the client’s objectives – acting as a true consultant rather than a reactive supplier.

Furthermore you will manage the projects financially and provide inspirational team leadership and mentoring.

Your profile

You act as a creative entrepreneur and put your clients’ business at the heart of what you do. This also makes you an excellent relationship builder. 8 -10 years agency experience, preferably Design, is essential. You:

Are pro-active in seeking new opportunities and solutions
Are well informed about clients’ business and general brand/marketing issues
Bring intelligence and imagination to complex brand problems
Have previously managed large accounts
Are very internationally minded and are willing to travel extensively, mainly within Europe
Manage expectations externally and internally
Have strong verbal communication skills in meetings with clear objectives and outcomes, and excellent, clear written communication skills
Don't see problems, only solutions
Demonstrate gravitas and leadership qualities internally and externally
Are open to new ideas and able to work in genuine partnership with colleagues and clients
Attitude: Pro-active, dedicated, committed, willing to go the extra mile, flexible, resourceful and open minded
